Going on a short, weekend trip this Summer? When I take weekends away, it’s imperative that I spend extra time packing as to NOT pack way more than I need. First, it helps to start with a carry-on size bag that will only hold so much stuff. Secondly, it’s great to pack a few key pieces that can be worn multiple ways. This Jersey Striped Boat Neck Tee is just one of those pieces which allows me to embody a signature look while remaining versatile!

This holiday weekend, in honor of our nation’s independence, I am definitely in the mood for stripes! Stripes are so chic, yet playful at the same time. I prefer to balance the quarter length sleeves and the slight cowl, boat neck on this top with high waisted bottoms, pulling the eye into the center of the outfit. Are you vacationing somewhere that you might need a few different outfits in one day? These three looks could help you easily pull off the necessary wardrobe changes with little hassle.

Arrive in style as you never know who might be at your final destination! AND once you arrive… I’m sure you’ll need an afternoon cocktail. Is this weekend the first chance you’ll get to sunbathe? Not to worry, keep this top on to conceal those “not yet tan” shoulders and pair it with your favorite swimsuit bottoms (the CurleeBikini Retro Two Piece Bottoms to be exact). That first poolside cocktail can be more fashion than function… you must make an entrance, right?

And finally, this top is also great for an adventure day around town? Printed pants are all over the place this summer. Keep those wildly printed pants looking chic by pairing them with this monochromatic striped top, and neutral accessories! Check it out… I’m wearing the same wooden platforms as in the first look. Creating a vacation wardrobe that’s within the same color story is yet another way to keep that carry-on light!

Enjoy your upcoming Summer vacation and remember, keeping your luggage light also makes for an independent woman… even one that can manage high heels throughout the airport! :)
